We start the day at the charming Baía de São Lourenço, where terraced vineyards and the blue sea create a breathtaking view. Next, we head to the magical Poço da Pedreira, where we admire the rock formations and the peaceful lagoon. From there, we explore the intriguing Barreiro da Faneca, an Azorean “desert” with red tones contrasting with the island’s usual landscape. After the adventure, we take a break at mad restaurant in Vila do Porto to enjoy modern and innovative dishes. After lunch, we visit the Casa dos Fósseis // Centro de Interpretação Ambiental Dalberto Pombo, where we learn about Santa Maria’s biodiversity and natural history. We then head to the magnificent Praia Formosa, a paradise with white sands and crystal-clear waters, perfect for relaxing and recharging. To end the day, we go to the Central Pub, where we enjoy a lively atmosphere, perfect for a toast or a relaxed conversation.
