Description

Igreja de São Lourenço in Almancil is famous for its opulent interior, adorned with beautiful azulejos and baroque decorations. Built in the 18th century, it is an outstanding example of Portuguese tilework, with panels depicting the life of St. Lawrence. The main chapel’s ceiling is also remarkable, featuring some of the finest gilded woodwork in Portugal.
