Partners and affiliate disclosure

Some links on this site earn Tourgal a commission — at no additional cost to you. This page explains exactly how.

1. How these links work

When you click a link marked as a partner, the partner drops a cookie in your browser identifying you as a Tourgal visitor. If you complete a booking or purchase within a window (typically 30 to 365 days depending on the partner), we receive a commission.

That amount is not added to the price you pay: it comes out of the partner margin.

2. What we gain (and why)

Commissions help Tourgal stay:

  • Free of intrusive advertising (no ad-network banners or pop-ups).
  • Free of paywalls — all editorial content is free.
  • Free of third-party data sales for marketing.
  • Editorially independent: we can still say a place is not worth it, even if it is one of our partners.

3. Partner catalog

The list below reflects the programs currently integrated in the site code. Some may be in the approval process — links to partners not yet approved still send visitors to the partner site without an affiliate code (we earn no commission yet).

4. Editorial independence

Recommendations, descriptions and rankings are never determined by the commission value. We test personally, consult public data and prioritize usefulness for the traveler.

Editorial red line: Sensitive sections of the country entry guides — entry, health, money and driving — never contain affiliate links. Those sections exist solely to inform.

5. Cookies and data

Tourgal logs the click on a partner link (date, source URL, provider) for commission attribution. We do not store personally identifiable data about that navigation; the cookie that identifies you at the partner is set by the partner, not by Tourgal.

More details in our Privacy policy.
