From the Caldeirão to Miracles: A Day on Corvo

What to expect on this Tour?

We begin our tour at the Miradouro Caldeirão, where we are greeted with a spectacular view of the volcanic crater that defines Corvo Island. We can take the walking path to the top, which takes around two hours. Next, we head to the Centro de Interpretação de Aves Selvagens, where we learn about the fascinating bird species that inhabit the region. We take a break for lunch at Caldeirão, Restaurante - Pastelaria, a cozy spot offering authentic local flavors. After lunch, we visit the Windmills, historical landmarks that transport us to the island’s agricultural origins. Then, we explore the Casa do Tempo - Corvo Ecomuseo, where we dive into Corvo’s rich history and traditions. We finish our tour at the Igreja de Nossa Senhora dos Milagres, a serene and spiritual place that reflects the devotion of the island’s inhabitants.
