What to expect on this Tour?

The day begins early with a climb up Montanha do Pico to witness a magical sunrise at Portugal’s highest point. After a morning full of adventure, we head to the Gruta das Torres, where we can explore impressive volcanic formations that reveal the island’s geological history. Next, we visit the iconic Moinho do Frade, offering spectacular views of the vineyards and the ocean. To refuel, we stop at JO Petisca, where traditional dishes are reimagined with a modern twist. The experience continues at the Cooperativa Vitivinícola da Ilha do Pico (CVIP), where local wines are celebrated, and the Museu do Vinho da Ilha do Pico, which delves into the island’s rich winemaking history. Finally, we end the day with a visit to the Paisagem da Cultura da Vinha da Ilha do Pico, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where vineyards grow in unique volcanic stone enclosures, creating an unparalleled setting.
