What to expect on this Tour?

Ready for a day where music is seen, tasted and felt? We start at Quinta dos Vales, in Estômbar, among the vineyards, before a wine tasting of Algarve wines. We head to the centre of Lagoa and have lunch at Taberna Algarvia 31, serving Portuguese cuisine at affordable prices.

In the afternoon comes the highlight of the day: the photography exhibition Jazz on the Move, by Fátima Vargas, at the Auditório Carlos do Carmo. The images show concerts, rehearsals and behind-the-scenes moments of the Algarve Jazz Orchestra. From there we walk to the Convento de São José, Lagoa’s cultural centre, with its cloister, chapel and watchtower.

We finish in Carvoeiro, on the boardwalk above the cliffs and at Algar Seco, watching the late afternoon fade over the Atlantic.

  • O Auditório Municipal de Lagoa foi inaugurado em 2005 e passou a chamar-se Auditório Carlos do Carmo em 2018.
  • O Convento de São José foi construído em 1738 e sobreviveu ao terramoto de 1755; hoje é o centro cultural de Lagoa.
